ReplyDeleteLanguages are best learnt when the focus in not on language learning but using it for social or formal communication, thoughts, idea, concepts, understanding and sharing. India has been a multicultural and multilingual country. Multilingualism is almost a part of life, most of us start speaking two or more languages by the time we are in school, and may be a third language by the time we have completed couple of years in school. Multilingualism facilitates the knowledge of other cultures, brings in different perspectives of thinking,. It also brings in unification or association with an object or situation, hence it can be used as a strategy and resource to build vocabulary and learn language.
ReplyDeleteMulti linguicism is an irresistible part of Indian language learning scenario and one should be very open to the same. It leads to the culmination of ideas very strongly facilitates learning very easily and helps in reaching the targeted learning audience more effectively hence we should be more open to this kind of learning.
ReplyDeleteOffcourse. Multilingualism is a important aspect which matters a lot in language learning. I experienced it in class. As I have knowledge of Marathi and Hindi i can understand the impact of Sanskrit on both languages but students in my class having knowledge of Punjabi and other languages gives me examples from their languages. Same thing we can apply for all the aspects of language.

ReplyDeletespeaking of their mother tongue and slowly incorporate into them the skills regarding the desired language. Multilingual support helps. The objective must focus on comprehension and use of them in their ordinary business of life.
